Real growth happens when we acknowledge and accept where we are, rather than constantly fighting against ourselves. Therapy, at its core, is about helping you feel like the main character in your own story again. Whether you’re navigating unexpected challenges, processing past experiences, or trying to make sense of where you are now, our work together will focus on fostering a sense of agency, clarity, and self-trust.
I work with individuals and couples, ranging from young adults in college to individuals in their 60s and beyond. My practice primarily serves busy professionals who are managing high-pressure careers while also navigating personal challenges. While my client base is diverse, I have a deep respect for those who feel non-traditional, out of place, or as though they’ve taken a path less traveled. If you’ve ever felt like your story doesn’t fit the mold or that life threw an unexpected twist your way, you’re not alone—and therapy can help you make sense of it all.
Many of my clients seek therapy because they feel isolated, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their own narrative. Maybe someone you always thought would be there is no longer in your life, or maybe a single event changed everything. Some clients struggle with balancing professional success and personal fulfillment, while others feel like they’ve never had a story that truly felt like their own. Therapy provides a space to explore these experiences, process emotions, and create a path forward that aligns with your values and goals.
I also specialize in working with couples across all relationship structures, including those in LGBTQ+ partnerships, polyamorous dynamics, and kink/BDSM communities. Whether navigating communication breakdowns, major life transitions, or the complexities of non-traditional relationships, I strive to create a space that is open, affirming, and nonjudgmental. My approach to couples therapy is rooted in fostering honest dialogue while equipping partners with the tools to deepen connection, rebuild trust, and strengthen their bond in a way that honors their unique relationship structure and needs.
I take a collaborative approach to therapy, guided by three key questions: What is going on in your life now? Where do you want to be? And how can we help you get there? My goal is to understand your perspective without offering simplistic solutions. Together, we shape a meaningful narrative around your challenges and develop practical strategies to support lasting change. Therapy with me is a space where you can be fully seen and heard while also practicing real-world skills—whether navigating difficult conversations, processing setbacks, or making important life decisions. By working together, we not only process past and present struggles but also create a clear path toward the future you want to build.
My interest in psychology started on the field. Growing up playing team sports, I was fascinated by what made people succeed or struggle, how communication shaped outcomes, and what separated a cohesive team from a dysfunctional one. But it was my own experiences with grief during adolescence that ultimately put me on the path to becoming a therapist. Seeing how people process loss in such vastly different ways made me want to understand human behavior on a deeper level.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of environments and with a wide range of clients, which has shaped my flexible, client-centered approach. Over time, I’ve come to believe that therapy isn’t about correcting someone’s narrative—it’s about working with it. Everyone has a story they tell themselves about their life, their identity, and their struggles. Our work together is about engaging with that story and exploring the possibilities within it, rather than imposing a rigid psychological framework.
I grew up about nine hours east down I-40 and have called Nashville home for the past decade. This city—where deep-rooted traditions intersect with rapid progress—reflects the very process of therapy itself, and I find that it brings a diverse and thoughtful range of clients into my practice.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Notre Dame and a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt, where I trained in therapy from a developmental perspective. I’ve been practicing as a therapist for seven years and have worked in a variety of settings, allowing me to refine my skills with different populations and therapeutic approaches.
My practice is rooted in a Process-Based Therapy Approach, drawing from Humanism, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. Rather than applying a rigid model, I focus on what works for each individual client. One of my core principles is doing the work openly—being transparent about my reactions, explaining therapeutic best practices, and clarifying my thought process. I believe that therapy is most effective when both therapist and client understand the reasoning behind each step of the journey.
The therapeutic relationship is everything. Research consistently shows that the strength of this connection is one of the most important factors in therapy’s success—and beyond the research, I believe therapy should simply be an engaging, collaborative, and even enjoyable process.
To continue refining my practice, I stay engaged with the latest research, consult regularly with peers, and incorporate daily training into my routine. Growth, both personal and professional, is an ongoing process, and I bring that same mindset into my work with clients.
Therapy should feel like a space where you can be fully yourself—without judgment, pressure, or pretense. My goal is to create an environment that feels warm, engaged, and honest. I believe in meeting clients where they are, trusting their lived experience, and shaping therapy around their needs rather than forcing them into a predefined model.
If you’re feeling lost in your own story, disconnected from yourself, or struggling to balance the demands of a high-pressure career with personal well-being or relationships, let’s talk.
