Executive Coaching in Nashville

Do You Want To Be More Confident And Effective In Your Leadership?

Therapie specializes in a range of issues and approaches, but one thing our clients have in common is that they are high-functioning, high-performing professionals and entrepreneurs who know how to kick ass and take names. Though they may feel emotionally, mentally, and physically on top of things, the work grind is wearing them down—which is why we are pleased to offer executive coaching to emerging leaders from all backgrounds.

What Is Your Experience?

If you’re in a demanding career that has required increased responsibility, visibility, or complexity, you may be feeling stretched thin and worried about burning out, especially if you’re juggling other commitments outside of work. As a result, you may:

  • Always be “on”—juggling meetings, making decisions, and ensuring outcomes, but running on fumes.
  • Feel like you wear a thousand different “hats” in managing the daily operation of your business, sometimes leaving you drained and unfocused.
  • Experience the dreaded inner monologue of Imposter Syndrome, questioning if you truly belong in your position or if you’re “faking” it.
  • Have difficulty delegating tasks or trusting others, carrying on too much out of a desire to do things “perfectly.”
  • Engage in reactive or emotionally charged leadership, particularly when under stress, leading to regret, anxiety, and isolation.
  • Maintain somewhat blurry boundaries between work and life, regularly struggling to fully “unplug” and relax when the workday is over.
  • Lack vision, clarity, or a sense of momentum for keeping you motivated and confident that you’re working toward meaningful goals.

Living under this pressure causes a lot of our clients to accept “good enough” as the standard, rather than actually thrive both in and outside of work.

Fortunately, executive coaching can help hone your leadership skills, sharpen your confidence, and allow you to feel like your whole person is being tended to. With the right tools in place, you can develop the kinds of working relationships with yourself and others to create more personal and professional space in your life.

You’re Leading the Charge—But Who’s in Your Corner?

I’m Christian Bumpous, the owner of Therapie, and I lead the professional coaching work here. I bring a unique blend of experiences to this role: over a decade spent working with leaders, managers, and executives—including those at Fortune 100 companies—helping them navigate both the professional and personal challenges that come with high-stakes leadership.

I also know the entrepreneurial grind firsthand—having built Therapie from a solo venture into a thriving group practice with a double-digit team. And as someone who leads people every day, I understand just how hard it is to do it all while also trying to stay connected to your own life, your relationships, and, in my case, two very spirited dogs.

This perspective—spanning corporate, entrepreneurial, and clinical spaces—gives me a distinct advantage as a coach. My foundation in psychotherapy means I’m trained to see what’s often hidden: the patterns, beliefs, and blind spots that shape how we lead, relate, and respond. This isn’t surface-level coaching. It’s the kind of work that shifts things at the core.

This is where executive coaching moves from being transactional to transformational.

You may not need another to-do list or a pep talk. You need a space where you can be real. A space to reflect, recalibrate, and reconnect with what actually matters to you as a leader and a person.

When we work together, we’ll slow things down just enough to figure out what’s really going on. We’ll strengthen what’s already working, unearth what’s getting in the way, and reconnect you with the kind of leader you set out to be–because leadership shouldn’t cost you your peace, and coaching shouldn’t be just another checkbox.

Coaching For Executives And Leaders At Therapie

Coaching allows you to work smarter, not harder. Through this process, we will help you slow down as you solve surface-level problems while also examining the deeper patterns behind your personal and professional decisions.

During a consultation, we will determine how often to schedule sessions. It’s possible that we will meet with more frequency toward the beginning and taper down to bi-weekly and monthly sessions as life begins changing for the better.

What To Expect

Like all of the work we do at Therapie, our coaching approach is informed by these questions: What is happening? Why? Where do you want to go? and How do we get you there? Using your responses as a guide, we’ll tailor the coaching process to your unique goals based on an assessment we’ll create to monitor your progress.

Each coaching session is a combination of insight and strategy with the goal of helping you feel seen, challenged, and equipped with tools that can be applied right away. Drawing from evidence-based frameworks based in leadership science and psychology, some of the coaching methods we use are:

  • Process-based coaching tailored to your real-time needs
  • Acceptance and Commitment Coaching (ACC) for building psychological flexibility and taking purposeful action
  • Emotional intelligence development to enhance self-awareness and regulation
  • Narrative and identity work to reshape internal messaging regarding concepts of success, leadership, and self-worth
  • Behavioral strategies for habit design, boundary-setting, and sustainable decision-making

We don’t want you to leave your coaching sessions with just insight; we want you to experience real traction in your role as a leader or executive. As you enhance your coping toolkit, you can communicate better, establish stronger boundaries, make clearer, more confident choices, and truly align with your vision of leadership.

You are ready to do the work of not just managing your leadership approach but owning it—our job is to support you along the way.

Common Questions About Coaching…

Is it really worth the cost to work with an executive coach?

This is a fair question, and it’s one we take seriously. We know that coaching is an investment of your time and resources—especially if you are a busy executive, entrepreneur, or leader juggling multiple responsibilities—and we want this to pay off for you. In some cases, executive coaching may be sponsored by an employer as part of a leadership or wellness benefit. And even if you are paying out of pocket, we encourage you to view coaching as an investment in your professional growth and development. We are determined to make this a beneficial experience, offering you an abundant ROI.

How long will it take for coaching to make a difference?

Coaching doesn’t take forever, and it shouldn’t. Typically, we work with coaching clients for about three to six months, with two sessions per month. We find that this allows us to build momentum, create meaningful change, and achieve results that last. That said, you won’t have to wait months to experience a shift. Because we take a highly actionable approach to leadership coaching, we want you to walk away from each and every session with clear insights and concrete next steps. If you’re like any of the other clients we coach, you’ll probably begin noticing slight changes in how you think, respond, and lead after the very first session.

Would therapy be more appropriate for my situation than coaching?

That’s a great question, and you don’t have to answer it alone. During the free consultation, we can tease out if executive coaching, therapy—or both—are the way to go.
