Curiosity is the heart of growth. In therapy, it becomes the tool that helps us gently dig beneath the surface, uncovering the roots of what holds us back and what helps us thrive. I see therapy as the process of replanting—because even the most resilient flowers can’t fully bloom in bad soil. But with the right environment, where safety and compassion are the foundation, people can grow beyond what they ever imagined.
My role as a therapist is to help create that nourishing soil—a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported as they dig deep, explore, and bloom.
I work with individuals and relationships in all their complexity—whether that’s an adult navigating life’s pressures, a couple working to deepen their connection, or family pairs like parent and adult children or siblings trying to find common ground. My clients are often adults (18+), college students, women, couples, and families who are seeking clarity, healing, and meaningful change.
Many of the people I support come to therapy feeling stuck or disconnected, often carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, ADHD, or the challenges of living with binge eating disorder or body dysmorphia. Others come in navigating the complexities of adoption processing, struggling with boundaries, or working through relationship issues that feel overwhelming. I frequently support clients managing work/life balance, women’s issues, and identity work, always creating an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals as well as clients within the kink, poly, and non-monogamous communities. I also work with couples at different stages of their journey—whether they’re seeking pre-marital counseling, navigating conscious uncoupling, or simply working to strengthen their connection and communication.
At the core of my approach is the belief that a safe space is a healing space. Therapy isn’t about me telling you what to do—it’s about me walking alongside you as you do the hard, transformative work. I bring kindness, honesty, and humor into the room, helping you feel grounded even when exploring life’s most difficult moments.
I often describe myself as a guide—a temporary support system who holds the space while you explore new ground. I’m not here to lead or control the direction; I’m here to help you see what’s possible when you’re supported in the right environment. My ultimate hope is that clients leave therapy not just feeling better but believing they deserve safe, nurturing spaces in their own lives. Because you do.
My journey to becoming a therapist started in high school, though I didn’t realize it at the time. I was in therapy throughout those years, and the safe, supportive space my therapist created became life-changing. She made me feel seen in ways I hadn’t before, and that experience sparked something in me—a desire to offer others the same kind of space for growth and healing. In college, I initially pursued social work and interned at an adoption agency, but quickly realized that the work, while meaningful, left me emotionally drained. After my supervisor suggested therapy might be a better fit, everything clicked. I chose Marriage and Family Therapy to support individuals, couples, and families in deeper, more personal ways—and I haven’t looked back since.
Therapy has been the greatest gift I’ve ever given myself. It offered me a safe place to be my full, messy, complicated self and gave me the courage to create that same kind of space in my own life. That experience is the foundation of how I work with my clients. Therapy isn’t just about coping skills or symptom management—it’s about creating an environment where people feel brave enough to face hard things, knowing they’re fully supported along the way. My goal is to offer that same safety and kindness, joining clients with honesty, humor, and compassion as they navigate their unique journeys.
I also bring my full humanity into this work. I’m a fat, neurodivergent woman figuring out life like everyone else—stumbling, learning, and growing along the way. That perspective helps me show up with deep empathy and curiosity, but it also reminds me that I don’t have all the answers. I love learning with my clients, helping them see the normalcy of not having everything figured out. I firmly believe that even if I haven’t experienced what a client is going through, I can still understand and hold space for the emotions behind it. That’s what therapy is to me—not about having all the answers, but about creating the right space to explore the questions.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Sewanee: The University of the South and completed my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lipscomb University. I’ve been supporting clients since 2019 and have worked as a full-time therapist for over three years, guiding individuals, couples, and families through meaningful change.
My approach is collaborative and flexible, starting with Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify their goals and build momentum. From there, I integrate a range of modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Systemic Modalities—to create a personalized path forward. But at the heart of my work is the therapeutic alliance. I believe safety is the foundation for vulnerability, and vulnerability is where real growth happens. Building trust and creating a grounded, compassionate space is my top priority.
I want my office to feel like your space for the time we’re together—comfortable, calming, and free of judgment. Whether it’s a blanket, a fidget, or just kicking off your shoes (I rarely wear mine either), I encourage clients to settle in and show up as they are. I also bring curiosity into every session—not just about my clients, but about the work itself. I’m always learning, growing, and evolving as a therapist, staying open to new tools, perspectives, and ways to better support those I work with.
Reaching out for therapy takes courage—and if you’re here, you’re already taking the first step. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a space to explore and grow, I’m here to offer support, honesty, and a space where you can just be.
Therapy isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about creating a space where you can get curious, feel seen, and make meaningful changes at your own pace. If you’re feeling ready—or even just curious—I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. I’d love to walk alongside you, guiding you as you uncover your strength and create the life you deserve.
