“Every step forward is a victory, no matter how small.”

That’s my go-to motto as a therapist. See, growth is more like a hike than a sprint – some parts of the journey will be a stroll, other times it might feel like you’re scaling a mountain. But remember, it’s not about reaching the summit in record time, it’s about embracing the journey and celebrating every little win along the way.

My People

I get to work with some really cool people – from busy professionals to lovebirds on their relationship journey, from fiery teenagers finding their voice to young adults carving their path. They all bring their unique narratives, their highs and lows, and that’s what lights me up every day.

Let’s be real, life isn’t always smooth sailing. You might feel like you’re running in circles, doing everything right, but still, something feels out of place. You could be carrying an unknown burden, questioning your life’s trajectory, or wrestling with relationships that don’t feel as vibrant as they used to be. Maybe you’re just trying to boost your self-esteem or navigate the exciting yet challenging waters of pre-marital life.

The thing I love about my job? It’s the chance to walk with you through the foggy labyrinth of these hard-to-pin-down feelings, helping you shine a light on those tricky corners, and ultimately, guiding you back to your own unique trail towards contentment.

My Story

My personal journey is what inspired me to become a therapist. As a teenager, I experienced the pain of feeling unheard and uncomfortable with a therapist who broke my trust. That experience, along with working with other people who have gone through similar experiences, fueled my ambition to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space for those who may need a redo or are new to therapy.

I was drawn to Nashville, Tennessee, a city vibrant with life and diversity. Born and raised in Mississippi, I carry a deep understanding of the unique culture, values, and even the challenges that life in this region can present. It’s these roots that have shaped me, but also sparked a keen awareness of the need for open-mindedness and understanding in our diverse society. This understanding is embedded in my practice as a therapist, as I strive to be sensitive to the unique perspectives and experiences of every client. I am always learning, always seeking to expand my understanding of different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. This commitment to cultural sensitivity is about extending a warm, understanding, and judgement-free invitation to all who meet with me. It’s about making therapy a safe, welcoming space for everyone.

My Training

In my therapy toolbox, I’ve got a bunch of science-backed approaches, like solution-focused therapy, restoration therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Each one of these techniques is trauma-informed, because I know that what we’ve been through shapes us in big ways. But here’s the thing: you aren’t a textbook, and your therapy shouldn’t be, either. So, I always mold my approach to fit your unique needs. However, it’s our relationship, our connection, that’s the real MVP. It’s that trust and understanding we build that really paves the way for lasting change. Therapy isn’t just a science, it’s an art, and you’re at the heart of it.

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Mississippi State before moving to Tennessee to pursue my Master’s in Psychology from Lipscomb University. I have been working as a therapist for over three years now and I continue to expand my skillset through trainings and supervision.

Trust and safety form the foundation of my sessions because change can only happen in a safe environment. Each client I work with has a different story, different goals, and different needs. Therefore, our sessions focus on your unique journey, your goals, and your pace.
